(he\/him), Regular member<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>President<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sean O\u2019Reilly joined PIPSC\u2019s dedicated team of Stewards in 2002, as a young public servant. Twenty-two years later, he is still passionate about listening to PIPSC members and finding real solutions to their problems.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sean has held multiple positions within PIPSC over the years, which has helped him develop a deep understanding of union issues at the sub-group, group, regional and national levels. Through his involvement at all levels of the organization, he has heard the concerns of members from across Canada and gained a deep understanding of the inner workings of PIPSC. His roles have included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Full-Time Vice-President (2018, 2022-Present)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chair of the PIPSC Annual General Meeting (2019-2021)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vice-President of Consultation Team \u2013 Shared Services Canada (since 2019)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chair of Finance Committee (2017\u20132018)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Youth Champion (2011\u20132017)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chair and member of By-Laws and Policy Committee (2009\u20132011; 2013\u20132016)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chair, Vice-President and member of the National Capital Region Executive (2004\u20132018)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IT Group Executive (2003\u20132006)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Sean O\u2019Reilly is bilingual, family oriented, empathetic, open-minded and a skilled facilitator with integrity. As President, he will ensure that all opinions in the organization are heard, and that consensus is the norm.&nbsp; As a strong advocate for workers\u2019 rights, Sean will work collaboratively with all PIPSC members, representatives of other unions, and civil society partners to continue the fight for better working and workplace conditions, pay, pension &amp; benefits, diversity, equity, reconciliation, mental health, and work-life balance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the past years, PIPSC members have been asked to adapt rapidly to changing working conditions and should be proud of what they were able to accomplish.&nbsp; That pride should not be tarnished by poorly-designed employer policy decisions impacting morale.&nbsp; Sean, as President, will make sure that PIPSC and its members are better equipped to face new challenges and take on new opportunities brought on by return-to-office, artificial intelligence, and constantly changing fiscal and policy landscapes. To do so, he will push to improve services to members through innovative means so that they can receive prompt and useful support when needed. He will also advocate for the implementation of rigorous financial accountability and sound fiscal practices within PIPSC. Lastly, Sean will ensure that the voices of PIPSC members are amplified, and their professionalism recognized, through greater outreach and increased partnerships.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Voting for Sean O\u2019Reilly as President is a vote for intelligent, inclusive union leadership on a human scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sean O\u2019Reilly B.Sc.
